Dance for PD ® master class – Dance for PD ® teachers David Leventhal (Mark Morris Dance Group) and Sarah Robichaud (Dancing with Parkinson’s Canada) lead a master class at Canada’s National Ballet School in Toronto. Dance for PD, celebrating its 15th anniversary, offers specialized dance classes to people with Parkinson’s, their families, friends and care partners in seven locations around New York City and through our network of affiliates in more than 100 communities in 16 countries around the world. In Dance for PD classes, people with Parkinson’s experience the joys and benefits of dance while creatively addressing symptom-specific concerns related to balance, cognition, motor skill, depression and physical confidence.

English National Ballet’s Dance for Parkinson’s programme is a high quality dance class delivered within a professional dance studio with live music for people with Parkinson’s, their family, friends and carers. Based on English National Ballet’s contemporary and classical repertoire, the dance classes provide a fun and informal way for participants to discover the themes, choreography and music of the ballets. This programme is proven to support people with Parkinson’s to develop confidence and strength, whilst temporarily relieving some participants of symptoms in everyday life. Classes are expressive, creative and promote feelings of freedom from the physical and social constraints of having Parkinson’s.
